Stevens Amendment

The Stevens Amendment is an appropriations provision that requires grantees of the Department of Labor (DOL), Health and Human Services (HHS), and Education to disclose for a grant program the percent of the costs financed with federal funds.

Public Law 101-166, Section 511

  • The U.S. Department of Labor supports Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs as part of an award totaling $12,706,947.06, and the U.S. Department of Human Services supports Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) programs as part of an award totaling $4,456,345.50,  or 97.5% in federal funds
  • Discretionary grants total $336,000.00, or 2.5% in state, local, and/or non-governmental funds.
