Summer Earn & Learn Program

Students

SCPA Works and PA Careerlink® are offering a new program called Summer Earn & Learn. This new program will provide students in the South Central Region ages 14-24 the opportunity to experience work readiness training and paid work experience. Any students who are interested in participating in this program should fill out the Student Interest Form below, and a representative from the PA Careerlink® will contact you.

Employers

SCPA Works and the PA Careerlink® are seeking employers to participate in an employer partnership opportunity. This work-based learning employer partnership opportunity will last six weeks, from July 1st, 2024, to August 9th, 2024. We are looking to provide over 110 work-based learning opportunities; if your business is interested in partnering with SCPA Works/ PA Careerlink® to provide a paid summer work experience for students during our 2024 program, please complete the Employer Interest Form below. Here are the program highlights:

  • Length of Paid Work Experience with Employer is six weeks
  • Work Experience pays a wage of $15 per hour (average of 20-40 hours per week)
  • PA CareerLink® pays the hourly wage, liability insurance, and worker’s comp insurance of each individual who participates in the Earn & Learn program
  • Employers will have the ability to directly hire the individual(s) once their 6-week term in the Earn and Learn Program has concluded
  • Participating employers will receive an orientation prior to placement.
