South Central Workforce Development Plans

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires local workforce development boards and chief elected officials to engage in an integrated regional and local workforce planning process to prepare, submit, and obtain approval of a single collaborative regional plan that incorporates local plans for each of the local areas within the given workforce planning region. These plans serve as four-year action plans to develop, align, and integrate service delivery strategies to support the commonwealth’s vision, strategic and operational goals.

The following plans were approved by the PA Department of Labor & Industry, the SCPa Works Board of Directors on August 5, 2021, and the Local Elected Officials on August 6, 2021. 

The public comment period for the Program Year 2025 -2028 Local and Regional Plans starts June 23, 2025. Public comment will be accepted until July 22, 2025. Public comment should be provided in writing to info@scpaworks.org.
