Full Job Description

As the Project and Community Manager, we are looking for a thoughtful, driven, and organized individual who can bring and stitch communities together for the South Central NextGen IT Industry Partnership.

About South Central NextGen IT – Project JumpStart Grant

Our vision is to create a diverse community and marketplace where industry practitioners can acquire talent, upskill existing talent, identify trends and competitive advantages, and improve entrepreneurship and workforce development. More diverse companies can better attract top talent and improve customer orientation, employee satisfaction, and decision-making.

Today, we continue to see a higher demand for technologists than resources skilled to meet our region’s over 2,300 IT job openings. Identifying in-demand skill sets, reaching potential job seekers and students, and creating a robust dialogue between job seekers, students, educators, and industry is vital to developing the workforce needed to fill these positions. The IT Industry Partnership provides a common convening of scores of entities looking at the issues of workforce training, talent development, jobs of the future, and sustainable and equitable initiatives.

The Mission of NextGen IT is to attract and retain diverse and innovative technology talent and entrepreneurs to South Central Pennsylvania. We accomplish our mission by focusing on two key areas, Talent, Supply & Diversity, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

The South Central NextGen IT acquired grant funding to support this effort in the form of Project Jumpstart.
