Public comments are due back to SCPa Works by August 25, 2017.

SCPa Works has released a draft version of their 2018-2021 local plan, as required under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). WIOA

“In support of the Governor’s State Workforce Plan, SCPa Works is committed to leverage its resources to promote an integrated, effective and impactful workforce system across the region,” said SCPa Works CEO Jesse McCree. “We believe this plan will begin to lay the foundation for the continued success of our region’s workforce development system.”

Under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), local workforce development boards are required to compile a local plan to outline investment strategies based on local labor market data, current workforce activities and the programmatic functions of the one-stop centers.

The WIOA regional plan is due back to the PA Department of Labor & Industry by September 1, 2017.

Public comments on the plan can be sent to by August 25, 2017, in order to be considered for inclusion in the final plan.
