SCPa Works understands that unlocking the human talent that drives growth for individuals and businesses cannot happen in isolation. That’s why we are continually building a robust network of business, economic development, education, training providers and community organizations to help serve our dual customer system. We work with diverse organizations and service providers that understand the needs of our workforce and develop solutions that make sense for our region.
We are always interested in partnering with organizations that envision a region where the opportunity to prosper exists for all individuals and businesses. Let us know what you’re doing and how we can work together.
One of the most important factors when a business decides to relocate or remain in a region is the quality of skilled labor that is readily available. SCPa Works recognizes the importance of developing close connections to our economic development partners that are working to recruit, attract and retain employers in the South Central region. By working closely with our Partners for Regional Economic Performance (PREP) partners to identify the workforce challenges of local employers, we are better able to align our programs and resources to help businesses find and retain the talent they need to stay competitive.

Education and Training
A highly skilled workforce requires a highly effective network of training providers.
SCPa Works recognizes that training for in-demand occupations remains a key tool in supporting a participant’s success in securing employment. SCPa Works is working to ensure that our investments in training, including On-the-Job (OJTs) and Individual Training Accounts (ITAs), meet the opportunities within our regional business community, show positive outcomes for placement in a participant’s intended career pathway and are aligned with the SCPa Works evolving strategic plan. This includes evaluating when additional training is necessary as a strategy to ensure our job seekers secure placement in meaningful employment.
